BAHS Daily Announcements

Good morning! Today is Friday, September 21st, a B Day.


Here are today’s announcements:

The following clubs will meet today: Art Club in Room 504, Spanish Club In Room 313, Tech Ed Club in Room 412, Med Club in the cafeteria, and Bible Club in Room 302.   All other students should remain in WIN Time studying quietly.

Any junior who was unable to attend the Class of 2020 meeting yesterday should stop by and see Mrs. Easterbrook in Room 202 by the end of the day tomorrow. Juniors are currently selling Scotty’s Donuts. If you are interested in purchasing any of these tasty treats, please ask a junior. Juniors are reminded that order forms and payment are due to Mrs. Easterbrook by the end of the day on October 4. All payments should be in the form of a check addressed to BASD. No late orders will be accepted.

Art Club Members, please make sure to attend today’s meeting during WIN time, as we will be going over the year’s activities and finalizing our list of club members.

Attention Med Club members: A meeting will be held today during WIN time in the cafeteria.  We will discuss an October 2nd field trip and the field trip to Allegheny General Hospital on October 9th.  Please attend!

The Math Club meeting that was previously scheduled for today is cancelled.

A message for all Drama Club members: Your $2 dues are to be turned in to Mrs. Kalkbrenner at our next meeting on Friday, September 28th. Your dues must be submitted in a sealed envelope with your name on it.

The High School is now collecting Box Tops for Education.  Bring your cereal box tops to the main office and put them in the brown box.

Any girls interested in joining Girl Scouts can stop in the main office for registration information.

As a reminder to Tech/Engineering Club members a meeting will be held today during WIN time.  This is a mandatory meeting.  All members must attend.

A reminder to all Spanish Club members: $2 dues are due by today’s meeting. Without paying your dues, you cannot be on the official roster. These should be in a marked envelope with your name and “Spanish Club Dues” on it. You can turn these in anytime to any of the Spanish Club officers or Ms. McCronich. No late money will be accepted, so don’t miss your chance for a fun-filled year!

The Teacher Pie in the Face Competition is back! Tickets will be sold next week at all lunches.  They are .25 cents per ticket.  The teacher with the most tickets in his or her bucket will GET PIED IN THE FACE AT THE PEP RALLY on Friday 9-28. At the pep rally a ticket is pulled out of that teacher’s bucket- and that is the student who gets to throw the pie!  The teachers who are gullible enough... I mean, willing to volunteer are: Mr. Clarke, Mr. Lesjack, Mrs. Miles, Mr. Kimmerle, Ms. McCronich, Mr. Pete, Mr. Province, Mr. Omecinski, Mrs. Smith, Mr. Wells, Mr. Roseman, Mr. Kalkbrenner, and Mrs. London.

​​The Junior High Homecoming Dance for 7th and 8th graders is next Friday, September 28 from 9-11.  The attire for this dance is casual. Tickets are $5.00 and sold at the door. No out of district guest are permitted at the Junior High Dance. See Miss Wenger or Mrs. London if you have questions.

The Senior High Homecoming Dance is next Saturday, September 29 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets will be sold at B and C lunches every day next week (9/24-9/28). Single Tickets are $8.00 and Couple tickets are $15.00. Out-of-district guest forms are available in the main office and need to be completed, signed, and turned in when you purchase the tickets. See Miss Wenger or Mrs. London if you have questions.

Students attending the Penn State field trip must have their permission slips turned in to Mrs. Hubler in Room 419 by Monday, September 24th.

The weekend’s activity schedule has the Varsity Football Team hosting Karns City in a 7:00 game tonight and the Raider Cross Country Team at the I.U.P Invite tomorrow.  

Monday is Fan day! Represent something you are a huge fan of.  Mrs. London will be wearing her EAGLES Jersey! So don’t forget, dress to support your team.
